Support for continuous lactate monitoring

We have added a lactate chart to the activity timeline, fit file importer and corresponding min, max and average lactate interval fields. Lactate (and SmO2 and THb) data from Q-LAC devices is imported.

You need to do Actions → Reprocess File to see this data on existing activities.

Interesting, I cannot find a review for this sensor, and it seems that they ship only to Spain and Poland… Today, their website is down (404 error). Their Android App cannot be installed on the latest version of Android…

Does anyone have any feedback on this sensor? Noob question, how are lactate values calculated from SmO2 data?

Continuous lactate measurement would be very interesting, but my understanding is that this is only an estimate based on SmO₂, tHb and possibly heart rate. Because of that I’d be a bit skeptical about the accuracy. If I were choosing a NIRS device, I’d probably go with something more established like the MOXY Monitor instead. Also, most of the content I can find on YouTube about it is in Polish, which doesn’t really suggest a widely adopted product.

@david Maybe you can add Min and Max SmO2 as interval fields as well (in addition to avg)?

They were the first to ask Intervals.icu to add support. Now that it is there we can easily support other devices as they hit the market.
