Hi,
In this workout, I see that my distance was 961 m, but my move time was 0:08:03.
In the “Data” section, I see a total time of 0:28:21! Can someone tell me what I did wrong? I’m not a fast swimmer, but my rest time was maybe 1 to 2 minutes max.
Thanks
Marco
In the charts and data section, you see ‘Elapsed time’ while on the summary you see total ‘Moving’ time.
An interval will show you the total time, pauses included, to go from A to B.
The summary will only count the time that you spent moving.
Hi, thanks for this information.
But 8 minutes for a 961-meter swim and 20 minutes without swimming isn’t plausible.
I see that Suunto differentiates between exercise duration and movement time for running, but this isn’t the case for swimming. Since the movement time doesn’t come from Suunto, how is it calculated?
Thanks
Marco
An outdoor swim will probably have a GPS track?
If that is too quircky, speed and distance will be off.
What’s the Map showing?
Hi, the route of Intervals and Suunto show the same track
Does an export of the Suunto workout (GPX workout/route, KML, FIT or JSON) help to find an explanation of this difference?
Thanks
Marco
On the Intervals Data tab, you can export the Original Fit file.
PM me a downloadlink and I will see if I can find something obvious. I’m no swimmer, so I don’t know all the ins and outs regarding swim activities, but if it’s something obvious, I will probably be able to diagnose.
