The /power page can now show sub-maximal power curves for each selected curve.

Cool new feature - interesting to see how my best compares to my other not-quite-bests!

Can you provide a bit more info though David about how these “sub-maximal” curves are determined? E.g. are they the 2nd-6th best effort curves for the past 42 days?

Yes they the 2nd-6th best for each selected power curve (42d, last season etc.).

Thanks for the explanation.

Just a thought, it would be really cool if could show sub-maximal efforts for a given activity. I guess would run into duration difficulties (i.e. if showed 5 sub-maximal curves could not go longer than 1/5th - or is it 1/6th? - of the total ride duration) but really useful for gauging consistency of intervals I think!

Is it possible to add year? perhaps yymmdd format is more compact

I will see what I can squeeze in. The problem with yymmdd is some people want ddmmyy and others mmddyy etc which is why I went with May05 etc…

1029w for 30s :scream::scream::scream:. That’s insane

Impressive, indeed. Almost WT-level numbers.

Veloncc shows Pascal Ackerman’s 24s sprint (Giro stage 11) was 1110W. Jonathan Milan might have been more as he was closing fast, but there aren’t numbers showing for him.

If that stage had been literally 1 meter longer, Millan had it won. But it wasn’t😂

I didn’t notice the numbers. 1029w for 30s is insane. So is this:

How on earth is this even possible. Insane doesn’t even begin to describe it

Max of 1616. A mate of mine is able to produce this kind of peak power. Sadly I’m not🙈

Whether I could do it at the end of a race is a different matter aha, thankfully I only race mates to stop signs etc

It was back in 2020 when I was more into weights than cycling but was pleasantly surprised I got near it again recently (hence the post to see how it compares but can’t see which year)

Thanks david, ISO 8601 ftw

Still impressive numbers :muscle:

Hate to pester…but…any joy?

Done finally. If you check the “All time” box then the year is displayed for each effort. Grump … I was a lot stronger 5 years ago!

Thanks, seems to be an issue though, the year is frequently wrong

Hmm. Can you please post or message me a screenshot with a “wrong” example. I didn’t spot any problems with my own data so will need to look closely at yours. Tx.

Sure, here’s sticking with the 30s section

Right
Wrong - should be 2021
Wrong - should be 2023
