Watch: Garmin Fenix 8
I’m pushing structured running workouts via the Intervals.icu API (warmup / interval repeats with absolute pace-range targets, e.g. 4:30-4:35/km Pace / recovery / cooldown) to Garmin Connect, then to my Fenix 8.
Until recently the watch correctly showed each work interval’s pace target as a range (min–max). In the last few days, the exact same type of workout now shows only a single average pace value instead of the range — nothing changed on my side in how the workout is built.
I’ve confirmed the syntax I’m sending matches the official format (unit once, at the end of the range — X:XX-Y:YY/unit Pace), and I’ve already tried:

Confirming Run Threshold Pace is set in Settings → Sport Settings

Deleting and re-creating the specific workout to force a fresh export (not just updating it)
Neither resolved it. Importantly: the workout preview inside Intervals.icu itself still shows the correct range — the value only collapses to an average once it reaches the Fenix 8. So this looks isolated to the Intervals.icu → Garmin Connect → watch translation step, not to how the workout is authored.
This seems related to the Fenix 7 thread here: Pace range on interval steps shows as note only on Garmin Fenix 7 and other garmin watches — but my symptom is different (average value, not a text note / missing target).
Is this a known regression for newer Garmin firmware, and is there any workaround beyond what I’ve already tried?
