Strava Descriptions no longer coming across

some times I would just add a “.” (period) to the title and desc to force and update sync.

But I don’t use ActivityFix so I don’t really have the issue of those desc coming over to intervals.icu

@w5dwd I actually had success today in editing the strava title and it flowing back to Intervals.icu. Not sure what I was or wasn’t doing right before but it seems to work just as you said. Thanks for helping me work through this.

Hello thanks for everyone advices!

Indeed I found that as soon as the default strava title changes, the description appears in intervals.icu

I used ActivityFix to change the title of every past strava activity that has a default title. I filtered the activities containing one of these words: morning, lunch, afternoon, evening, and added a period at the end of the title. All descriptions finally appeared !

Thanks for helping

Here’s another nuance. Since intervals descriptions overwrite Strava ones it creates a problem when using activity fix and weather data from intervals together. When I ride outside I have it set for intervals to send the weather/wind description to Strava but activity fix has already placed my description, which is my consecutive days ridden. That description by activity fix on strava gets overwritten by the intervals description. I wonder if the overwrite behavior could be amended to add instead of overwrite?

in activityfix you can append/prepend something to the description. so if you run it with a delay first intervals add the weather then activityfix will add before/after what you want

Great idea @Flippo ! I bet you could also have it add a “.” To the end of the title with a delay longer than the description and that would cause the description to come across to intervals both with the weather and description comment together. I will play around with it and report back.
