Strange differences in training load depending on whether the source is Polar or Strava

Hello. This weekend I have done some easy excursions with my son and when uploading them at intervals I have seen a strange difference in the value of the load depending on whether the origin is Polar or Strava.

From Polar the load is 87 and from Strava 57

Saturday - Polar

Saturday - Strava

Curiously, the trek on Sunday had equivalent data:

Sunday Polar:

Sunday Strava:

Has anyone come up with the reason for this difference in intensity value?

I have been looking in to this. It is related to the velocity data being different. The file from Strava is smoother. Intervals.icu tries to count only moving time when calculating load from heart rate and it uses the velocity stream to decide moving or not. If the velocity stream is very noisy it discards it and considers all time to be moving. This is what is happening with the Polar file.

I have adjusted that check to be less sensitive and the Polar load is now very similar. Hopefully this doesn’t cause any issues. I originally added it to fix issues with indoor activities with the GPS left on.

Great! Thanks for the response.
