Thank you, David.

It would be great to pin this message and the link to the video. At the time, I really lacked such a simple guide. I had to figure things out by trial and error

I’ve wondered whether it is possible to build a mixed, pace and hr, workout that a running watch will accept.

Intervals will let one enter such a thing, though the nifty bar representation doesn’t work. Coros, my watch maker, will not recognize the changed target type, i.e. if a workout begins with HR the pace block won’t contain a target.

Has anyone tried this with Suunto, Garmin, etc.?

If I remember correctly, Garmin settings allow you to combine heart rate and pace, although I don’t use this option.

Would be good to see the equivalent for swims, they are quite complex and the syncing between apps has some issues.

From the experimenting I’ve done, this isn’t possible.

I want to program something like:

  • Warmup Z2 HR
  • Tempo 4:10 pace
  • Cooldown Z2 HR

You unfortunately have to pick either pace or HR for the whole workout, no option for mixed - so I’m having to just do these ones manually directly in Garmin.

Only missing feature for me personally.
