Hi, I am a coach currently using Training Peaks, but looking for something better - don’t get me started on issues with TP.
I am trying Intervals with a couple of my coached athletes and have a couple of questions.
Is it possible to create templates of charts - so for instance I can apply several charts in one go to a session analysis, or on the fitness page?
In TP i have dasboards set up that have the data laid out the way i like it, which apply to all coached athletes. They will update on all athletes if i decide to add a new metric for example. I appreciate this is the coach end the atheltes dont see the same, as they can choose how to lay it out.
Ironically i am really struggling with creating intervals. If i want to select a specific section, and create that as a stand alone interval i cannot get A to do anything, what am i missing?
Congratulations on a great product! This is so much faster and more comprehensive and simply better for coaching than TP. How big do you have to get before Zwift will allow direct access?
Are you using TP only, or also WKO? Intervals has both in one application.
There is an athlete level that has charts relating to a range of dates, and then activity level which measure the workout only.
To answer your questions:
There are existing charts already setup, if you look in the search option. The charts will show the same for all athletes, so it’s already in a template form, providing there is data. You athletes wouldn’t see the same layout as you, so if you want them to see the same layout, you would have to get them to set it up the same way.
In some cases, some athletes might not have dual-sided power, so the activity chart won’t show L/R balance in the same way as someone who has single sided, or wellness data might be missing on the athlete chart.
Try using D first to delete any existing interval. The interval can only be used on activity level (one activity at a time).
It would be great if many of 3rd party apps could integrate. Maybe one day.
Put mouse cursor in the area where you want to create an interval, then press A. Now zoom (if needed) and pull the edges of the newly created interval exactly where you want them. Or click on the heading of the newly created interval and set the start time and end time or duration.
WKO for my sins! Yes thats one of the attractions TBH and Intervals is much much easier to use.
Not worried about the atheltes, those that like data sort themselves out, those that don’t, let me do the lifting.
Ive seen the variety of charts, and very nice they are too. I want to be able to have several of them batched together so i can apply them all in one go, rather than go through each new person and arrange them. Also if i make a change to the way its presented, it changes on all of them.
Intervals, got it! Is it possible to overlap intervals? Say for instance its a session which has several on/off like an under over session, where i want to know the data for each section but also for the complete series of reps.
