Hi,
for my last treadmill workout using Stryd, my power was reported abnormally high. It was at least 100w too high. When i used the “ignore power” feature, it actually seemed to be correct after. This has not happened to me before, any idea why?
And, could it be possible to have an environmental adjustment feature? Or is it already? The temperature is often 25+ and the humidity in 70%+ at my gym, so the actual load is higher than my power output would suggest!+
And lastly, could there be an option to weigh the first part of intervals less than the rest? For short intervals, the lag in the stryd power feature really skews the actual power output for the interval.
And, in the Power Graph in the workout view, what is the horizontal blue line and the second light blue power number? Some kind of average?
Thanks!
That would normally be the workout target defined in your planned workout.
Do you have a watch that also gives ‘wrist power’ or do you use a treadmill that sends out power? Your story makes me think that you have multiple Power streams in your resulting Fit file.
Hi,
I have not set any power targets. At the start of the workout it seems to be some sort of average of my first intervals, but then drop significantly later in the workout.
I do have several stream, both Garmin and Stryd has a field in the file, but i have set it correctly to the Stryd one earlier. The Garmin one does indeed provide much higher watts, but this time, both streams had a very high power. The power was also very volatile compared to earlier, so might be something funny with my stryd hardware for this one. Strange this was when I chose “ignore” power, it seems to be correct.
