How do folks set up reminder alerts for running 2 chains to be rewaxed on the same bike.
Sorry if I missed the guidance on best way to do this.

Create a chain component for each of your chains. Put a rewax reminder on each of them. Attach one chain to the gear. And when you swap chains, make sure you swap the component to the other chain as well (From the gear, click on the component, press âActionsâ press âRemove from â - Add the other). The reminder for the currently selected component will be what shows on the gear.
or you could just reset the reminder after youâve waxed the chain if you donât care about tracking mileage of each chain and just replace when necessary:
But I think you should track each chain individually as David suggested
Thanks so much. All sorted.
But do these reminders only work once, or can they be set âevery xx kmâ or every " xx time " from a fixed date?
In the above screenshot, reminder has been set to 300km. It will trigger a reminder if you pass 300km. Click reset and counting will start over to remind you again when you passed 300km.
I forgot to reset my reminder after waxing the chain. It wonât let me set another date to calculate usage. What am I doing wrong?
The reminder is set at ´km´ not on date.
Ah, that whatâs that for - thank you. You canât set the counter (km) to an earlier date, thatâs just the for the reminder. All clear now, thanks.
this right here threw me off
I thought I could just change the date to include previous rides - but you canât. got it. Just deducted the âforgottenâ ride for the next reminder.
Check out the Pro Bike Garage app on Android or IOS. I use it to track maintenance on everything on my bikes.
thanks, but no thanks. I donât need another app in my life. I want to simplify not diversify
the current implementation is a bit rough in intervals. I bet itâs a work in progress and will become better over time. I just have to be patient and let david tinker (badum tss)
I know what you mean. Sometimes I think that just making notes in diary would be a lot simpler and less time consuming.
