[SOLVED] Run Power not showing?

When I tap on “Power” on the left hand side I then see “Ride” and “Run” but when I tap on “Run” it tells me “No matching activities with power found” although I do have Running activities with Power using my Stryd footpod that show the power graph on each individual activity…

Did you do “Update Activities” after setting up power zones for run? That could be the problem. Intervals.icu only calculates the power curves etc if zones are setup.

That did it. Thanks David

Hi, I have a similar problem.

tl;dr: after setting up run FTP/zones and clicking “update activities”, only activities with Coros watch power get power analysis; activities with Stryd power don’t.

I’ve been running for a few months with a Coros watch which includes power data in FIT files, but did not pay much attention to it so far, so I did not set my FTP/zones for running, so as expected my run activities had no power analysis. So far, so good.

Then, since January 8 I’ve been running with a Stryd. Today Stryd notified me of my updated Critical Power, so I thought it was time to get my training load calculated based on power in intervals.icu. So I eventually added a FTP in the run settings of intervals.icu, and updated activities as instructed in this thread.

Problem is, it look like the Stryd power is still ignored:

  • Only activities with Coros power are taken into account in the power curve.
  • Only activities with Coros power display a normalized power. Activities with Stryd power don’t.
  • Load has been recalculated to be based on power for activities with Coros power (based on a FTP that probably makes little sense for them, but whatever, that was a price I was willing to pay). But it has not been recalculated based on power for activities with Stryd power, which is what I really wanted.

Possibly related: the default power chart in an activity does not display power for my activities with Stryd. I had to create a custom Power stream, that tracks the power record field, and now I can graph this one; and I could also use this custom Power stream to calculate average power in a custom field with a script, because here as well, the default power field never displayed any useful data.

FWIW, all these activities are pulled by intervals.icu from Coros. And in “Activity settings” I see no option to choose which power source to use, so I’m assuming Coros recorded only the Stryd power in the FIT file, as I would expect.

Am I supposed to do something special to make intervals.icu take into account Stryd power recorded by my Coros watch just like it does with Coros power?

Thanks in advance!

Activity page - Actions - Settings.
Under the ´Ignore power´ section you can choose which stream you want as default power stream.

Hi @MedTechCD, thank you.

I do see this for activities with Coros power. But for activities with Stryd power, there’s no Ignore power section in the activities settings.

What if you disable the custom stream you made before?
Re-analyze after disabling the custom stream. I think the stream can´t be accessed because it is locked with the custom one.

Amazingly, it worked!

And it seems I don’t need the custom stream at all anymore: everything based on power that I needed now works out of the work, based on the default stream.

this didn’t work for me :frowning: Do you have any other suggestions?

Hi! I have a similar problem. When I connect my Stryd to zwift I don’t get power in my file. Yesterday I did a double recording with my Garmin and all power was displayed I that file.

Anyone know how to get the power from Stryd/zwift into intervals?

Chris

I had a look at your most recent run (Monday) and the power data is showing. Is this fixed for you now?

I had a look at your Wed 17th Zwift run (from Strava) and it doesn’t have any power data. You can download the “Streams CSV” on the activity data page to check these things. So either Zwift or Strava is dropping the running power data.

I didn’t find any power from running on Monday. The Wednesday is lost because I deleted the double recording, but it was there… ok. I try the csv then…

Hi David. Sorry i didn’t get the csv to work and I can’t find any run with power. Not sure what to do and I’m a newbie

Please help me :slightly_smiling_face:

Look for the “Streams CSV” button at the bottom of this page for your Wed 17 Jan run.

There is no power data. Can you see power data on Strava? You need to try find out if Zwift is sending it through or not. You could also try getting your Zwift files into Intervals.icu directly using Dropbox.

Thanks. Youre right strava dos not show power. It justed to so the problem is else where. I’ll dive in and look.

still nothing :frowning:
only my rowing power data is showing, nothing else. so Id suggest its a stryd problem?

I have the same issue but with the Ride info. I use the Apple Watch S6, Strava is connected and in activities there are info about power. Not in intervals’s stream csv.

If the data is coming from Strava, do take note that it’s known that Strava will strip out some stuffs. But Power should be a native field so it shouldn’t get stripped out.

Thought i had the same issue but it turned out i had Indoor disabled previously and it didnt show my indoor bike ride.
