[SOLVED] Merge Activities In or Out of Intervals

I had an athlete accidentally stop her watch so her swim was recorded in two different files. So, two part question:

1. is there a way for me to merge the two files directly in Intervals?
2. I know it’s possible to merge with fit tools, but I can’t figure out how to download the fit file to do the merge externally.
