[SOLVED} Less steps to edit activity gear

edit gear atm requires a lot of clicks and back and forth.

for runners that rotates through shoes, that’s a real pain. could we have an easier way to do it? from the activity’s header or at least on the calendar view, without all the change to list, select activity, select edit, to select gear?

If you do it on a per activity base, just click the name of the activity and edit gear.

For bulk, better to use the Activity List View

oh thanks! that’s a well hidden one.

What if I need to add more than one piece of equipment? For example, I always add the shoes I use for running and my heart rate monitor strap to know when to change the battery before it runs out.

In this case, the activity would have two pieces of equipment. I couldn’t find where to add more than one piece of equipment.

I use Garmin Connect for that. I added my HRM & strap as well as my power meters as gear (other) for the purpose of tracking hours for the battery and when to replace the strap.

This is currently not supported within intervals.icu (it’s a requested feature) and intervals have the concept of “set” like a Bike “set” or perhaps a “Run” set.

You can consider doing a Run Set and match your specific Shoe w/ specific equipment. eg:
Asics Nimbus 1 + H10
Asics Nimbus 1 + TickrX

Personally, I actually do similar as Gerald, I track my gears in Garmin Connect (proxy thru BreakAway)

After the activity, I just select Other misc items which I want to track (like Jersey / HRM / Bib etc). I just like to know how much mileage i"m getting from my stuffs.

Thanks, guys!
I’m using Intervals for the heart rate strap because I liked that I can log accessories into the equipment and see the usage time, which I couldn’t check on Garmin Connect. Since I use the strap for gym workouts, running, and cycling, I need to track the time of use, not the distance. For shoes, I ended up choosing Strava, as well as for the bike and components.
I wish I could consolidate everything in Intervals, but oh well! We make do with what we have lol.

You can use components on top of the gear.

For my running, I have the shoes as the base gear, and then add components.

The HRM is a component that is added to every gear I own, as I use it on 98% of my workouts (outside of swimming).

You can also make it more complex by making the shoe themselves a component. Then you could have separate gear for “Brooks Ghost 15 w/ HRM” and “Brooks Ghost 15 no HRM” or for different HRM if you have multiple.
