[SOLVED] Form : Wrong calculation on fitness curve

Hello everyone. I noticed an error in calculating the “form”.
image
As you can see, Fitness “31” minus Fatigue “52” should give “-21” and not “-68”

Of course, I compared the data on 2 other tracking applications. (Nolio and Elevate). The Fitness and Fatique values are approximately equivalent and the fitness calculation is correct.

Do you have any idea where this calculation error could come from and how to correct it?
I specify that I checked the FTP data.
Also, I didn’t find this problem on the forum.
I use the Microsoft Edge browser and this error also appears using Google Chrome.
Thanks to all

Hi Serge. I think you mixed up absolute values with percentages.
Form = (Fitness-Fatigue)/Fitness
Form= (31-52)/31=0.677…=68%

As @fwagner has said, you are using % of fitness. You can change between % and absolute using the options menu on the fitness page.

ok Gerald. Thank you for the clarification. I understood now.
I’m a beginner with interval.icu and I had no idea that it was possible to choose another scale to display the shape. I stuck with the presentation of the PSC of “Training Peaks” and am used to interpreting the curves according to Joe Friel’s recommendations.
All other platforms to which I subscribe (Training Peaks, Nolio, Elevate) give the raw form value without any other possibility of change.
So it was a little confusing because I hadn’t made any special settings since installing the software. Honestly, for the moment, I don’t really understand the point of having the form in % form.

I have a lot to discover in this software. Mainly the tools to measure your own progress and above all knowing how to interpret all this data with relevance.

Thanks again

Good morning. Thank you for your reply.
At the very beginning, I did not understand the meaning of your answer, not knowing that it was possible to modify the calculation, either in raw form or in % form.
I am currently discovering this software.
All other platforms to which I subscribe (Training Peaks, Nolio, Elevate) give only the raw form value without any other possibility of change.
So it was a little confusing because I hadn’t made any special settings since installing the software and I thought that the calculation should be identical to the others.
Honestly, for the moment, I don’t really understand the point of having the form in % form.
Now I have left the overload zone -:slight_smile:

gerald’s answer helped me understand and by modifying the calculation scale, everything was consistent with other platforms.

This software is a gold mine to discover. Thank you for your contribution

I was going to recommend that you read the guides, but @MedTechCD has already mentioned it.
