[SOLVED] Can No Longer Update Activity Title / Description from Intervals.icu -> Strava

Activity Metadata Modal asks to “Connect with Strava”, noting “You need to authorize Intervals.icu to update your activities before you can make changes”.

First observed 2024-03-23.

Currently, Activity Title and Activity Description can not be edited in Intervals.icu. Title and description do update when changed on Strava.

Expected Behaviour

Clicking the Activity Title to edit the Title/Description surfaces the Activity Metadata Modal, where Title/Description can be changed. Changes sync bidirectionally between Intervals/Strava.

Troubleshooting Attempts

Checked OAuth permissions on Strava side; no changes. Deauthorized on Strava and reauthorized from Intervals. No change in broken behaviour.

It looks like your Intervals.icu Strava permissions do not allow activity updates. Try the “Permissions” button in the Strava box in /settings. That should let you choose permissions again.

Interesting! The box was checked on the Intervals side and Strava permissions unchanged, but clicking the “Update Permissions” button and going through the OAuth flow again fixed it. Considering it fixed!
