Below is a sweet spot intervals workout I have done. I.e.some short rest intervals in Z1 and then work intervals in lower Z4.
If there is not enough space on the screen, Intervals.icu will not show the labels for some of the intervals and you have to move your mouse above the interval to see the label. I think it would be better if Interval.icu prioritized showing the labels for the high-intensity intervals (e.g. the main point of the workout) over the low-intensity intervals. In this case, it would then show all the Z4 intervals.
Even if there is enough space, some of the labels are not shown:
The widths of the boxes with the interval labels are wider than the intervals themselves. It would be nice with some visual indication of where the interval starts/ends. If you look closely at the 15s Z1 interval at the end, you will see that this interval is really after the time indicated by the label. The box should probably be centered above the interval. An example of such visual clues is shown in red in the last image (the lines should be in the same grey as you are currently using but the lines should match up with the timeline in the actual chart).

You can hide the recovery intervals. Go to the Options menu at the bottom and tick “hide intervals”.
Here are three workouts where it shows the work intervals. Obviously the shorter 10-15s efforts are too fine to see on a mobile device.

Thanks. I normally use “Use Laps” to set the intervals. I do not think this generates any recovery intervals, only work intervals. Thus, when this feature will not really clean up very much as everything is classfied as “work intervals”. As far as I understand, recovery intervals are basically where you have not defined “work itnervals”.
The “use laps” option is probably better, IMO, if you have set it up as such. On some of my workouts, and that of some athletes, they don’t use the Garmin workout calendar but rather other platforms like Zwift and Rouvy.
Looks like I can easily achieve this by just hitting “D” (delete) on each of the recovery intervals. Then only the work intervals are shown in the graph. I use TrainerRoad and Wahoo Bolt, and the laps are automatically added when I do a structured workout (or if I press the lap button).

Agree, planned workouts recordeed with wahoo bolt are just all work laps and recovery intervals avtually are when you pause or end your planned workout but still ride. Maybe @david can add a setting for recovery interval range (probably z1-low z2) most of the time) so intervals treats all intervals in that range as recovery intervals
It also looks like the labels are not always shown even if it is enough space:
