Sign up hesitancy

I stumbled upon Intervals.icu maybe a couple weeks or a month before I signed up.

Reading the home page it isn’t obvious that the site isn’t based on a freemium subscription model. The “sign up for free” sounds like a marketing ploy. I probably didn’t sign up the first time I came across the site because I thought after signing up I would be asked to pay.

It is remarkable, and I appreciate a lot how the site operates on a donation model. If I had know this, I think I would have signed up sooner.

I write my experience because I hope it can allow the site to reach a wider audience.

In addition, I also wonder if a demo option would help people get familiar with the site and increase sign ups.

Tx. I think I will update that copy.

It is tricky to do a demo version. What I might be able to do at some point is support “public” accounts that are read-only, then I can use mine as a demo. The other (easier) option would be to make a video. I always want to build more stuff and tend to neglect that side of things a bit.

Just became a supporter. You are doing a fantastic job!
