Should SST-Intervals be automatically detected?

I searched for interval detection and the like in the forum but only found two (recent) threads. One in regard to running and HR data and one with a link to an activity I couldn’t access. I might have missed some general introduction as to what is deemed a proper interval by intervals.icu - if so, then I would be happy to get pointed to it.

I hope it isn’t so that anything below FTP isn’t deemed an interval. That would undersell the capabilities of this nice service pretty short.

I have this series of some easy Zone 3 hill repeats which hopefully should be a breeze to detect for a number of parameters (climb, cadence, HR and of course: power). So I wonder why there aren’t detected any? Even not when clicking “Analyze”.

Any idea?
cheers,
Torsten

The algorithm has a number of heuristics to avoid finding “non” intervals and one of those is that a Z3 interval must be at least 10m long. I have relaxed that to 3m now and it finds your intervals. I have a long outstanding todo list item to make this configurable in that “Analyse” popup.

Hi David, I admire how fast you churn up updates to this site. Cool, thank you. Works like a charm. And yeah - I wished that hill would have been a bit longer for my intervals also - but it was close to me and did the job.
