Running power with Stryd seems to overstate Training Load

I did a very easy run this morning averaging 131BPM. This correlated to 222W from Stryd which is also ‘easy’ based on my running FTP (CP)

But Training Load seems overstated (62 for power, 41 for HR) as the power view puts it as a ‘tempo’ run whereas HR is ‘recovery’

I am aware that running power is very niche and tends to lack credibility in some circles vs. cycling power which is standardised so I am not sure if there is a solution or a ‘fix’ is required. For this run, to correct the load, I’ll manually set the activity to ignore power.

I’ve noticed something similar in the past in that cycling power zones (%FTP) don’t convert to running power zones. I changed my running power zones to the Stryd Running default which seemed to give more realistic zones. This won’t help your Load calculation though as this is based on FTP but I think gives a more realistic view of running power zones. For running my Power based load is always slightly higher than HR based load, but then the other way round for cycling.
