Reprocessing activity changes name of recording device

I have some “funny” behavior of i.icu when I reprocess files recorded with my (new) Garmin 850…
It changes the recording device from “Garmin 850” to “Garmin 4634”:-o
Before reprocessing:

I don’t care about the name as such, but I wonder what else is going on.

Btw., the need for reprocessing is due to a custom field problem, reporting elsewhere.

SN: Possibly related to Connect IQ fields for tymewear-ventilation or DFA a1?

PS: Just realized that it also changed to “CHO in” to whatever Garmin reports here, which is different to what I told Garmin and the manual override I made in i.icu already. I did select both “keep manual intervals” and “keep manually updated custom field values”…

I think David changed the way how to identify the device name. Maybe this way doesn’t work for old activities where it is not present in the fit file.

Could be – but these, the ones I am talking about, are current activities from last and the other week… :man_shrugging:

And your activity is synchronized from Strava, not Garmin Connect. Have you tried the other way around?

No, it’s synchronized from both, with the Strava one deleted and only linked for linking to Strava. The data is from Garmin… (Strava would not have transmitted the data we are talking about anyway.)
