Replacing Strava with Hammerhead Source

@Inakiarroyo

I have connected my Hammerhead Karoo account to intervals, but outdoor rides in Subintervals are still being blocked by Strava, my Rouvy virtual rides are okay ?

J

Check what the summary shows as source. If it only shows Strava, then your outdoor ride was not synced from Hammerhead. If it syncs, then you will see both as source and Intervals will use the FIT that is NOT Strava. Crosscheck with a virtual ride.

Yes, it is Strava, so I considered removing Strava link but got below message …

Are you sure you want to revoke Intervals.icu access to your Strava data? The Strava API terms of service requires that all data on Intervals.icu that originated from Strava be deleted. Enter ā€˜yes’ in the box below and click ā€˜OK’ to revoke access and delete your Strava data from Intervals.icu.

Any suggestions?

You don’t have to disconnect Strava, I would advice against disconnecting. Just go to the connections tab on the settings page and disable Activity syncing.
First thing to do though, is making sure that you are getting the activities from Karoo. Disabling Strava will not miraculously make the connection work.
As I said above, Intervals will sync both Karoo and Strava, but will prioritize the data from Karoo. This will be visible on the summary by a double entry Strava and Karoo.

Thanks

I have deselected View data about activities and View data about private activities.

Getting this error now

This is starting to look like kinder garten…

Settings page in Intervals

Look for a checkbox like indicated with red arrow and circle on the Strava connection settings.
I can’t show you an exact screenshot because I don’t use Strava (for obvious reasons)

Of course you get errors, if you revoke access for intervals! If you don’t need Strava activities then of course delete it. But it will delete all your old activities from Strava. But please, don’t ask afterwards where all your activities has gone. If you want to keep them, then don’t disconnect!

Hammerhead will probably only sync new activities to intervals. So if you want to get old activities from the original source to be able to distribute them via API, download those activities from Hammerhead (GDPR should always be possible), and upload them here again. Consider using the search function of the forum. You are not the first one, who wants to ā€œreplaceā€ Strava with the original data source …

Initial tests suggest that it could be working now.

Many thanks

J
