Power Meter Pedals

Not sure if shopping recommendations are the done thing but here I go. Feel free to close the post if its not appropriate.

Has anyone shopped at CICLIMATTIO.COM and would they recommend them?

I am thinking of buying these. Its significantly cheaper than Wiggle etc but I have never heard of the company.

Also does anyone have these and would they recommend them?

Favero seems to be setting the benchmark these days for a power pedal. A recent update allows self-calibration.

Anything vaguely related to fitness is a go! Cyclists are always wanting to buy stuff.

Favero is a good one if you are thinking in road ones.
I bought them here: Pedales con medidor de potencia Favero ASSIOMA DUO - JipCarbono
And they are running smoothly, maybe you can ask if they send outside Spain.

I agree with everyone’s assessment of the Favero pedals. A friend has a set and he loves them. I had a very bad experience with the new Garmin Vector pedals, as have many others. Many design flaws. I suggest avoiding them.

I don’t know about that seller in particular but if you are ordering goods from Europe to the UK be mindful that you may get stung for VAT and import duty now that the UK has effectively left the customs union following Brexit. So what looks like a good deal now may not be so good in the long run…

Thanks @DanL. I have bought one now and got it from Wiggle. Your spot on I would have had to pay tax and also the delivery charge was around £50. It worked out not much cheaper so I stuck with what I know.

Thanks @Clifford_Smith. I have heard that before about the Vectors.

Thanks @Ignacio_Sierra . I decided to buy from Wiggle but nice to know you recommend them.

Thanks @Coach_Ron. I appreciate the advice. Thanks @david.

I bought the Duo’s last year february at a slightly higher price in a local shop. You wan’t be dissapointed, they just do what is advertised and are very user-friendly.

Thanks @MedTechCD, I went for a solo in the end. I might put it on the Cyclo Cross and buy a duo in the future for the road bike. Not sure yet until it arrives.

Just to add i have used these a few times now and bought a second set.

I thought they were great and UNO was good enough.

They only downside and for me its a real one is getting out of the pedal is quite sticky and a little unnerving. I am worried a crash is inevitable. I am used to unclicking with a slight heel turn in towards the bike, maybe this is wrong but its always worked. With these I have to take the heel out on a pretty even plane and at the right part of the peddle stroke.

I like and do recommend them but it would be perfect if they could make unclipping a bit smoother.

Both Wahoo and Garmin dropped power pedal bombs in the last few weeks.

Wahoo announced power meter coming to the Speedplay pedals.

Garmin announced 3 new power meter pedals, including MTB SPD compatible.

ciao,
io li ho acquistati direttamente presso l azienda FAVERO.
