Power in intervals not detected when speed is 0?

I think there is either a parsing issue or a cache issue.

Turbo messed up and recorded 0 speed, consequently then end of the 20m interval isn’t detected in the ride analysis either as an interval or in the power curve.

Using fitfiletools I stripped speed, distance and location and every time I upload, I still have speed & distance but no power at the end of the interval. Ride in question is: Intervals.icu.

Thanks in advance.

Towards the end of that ride the velocity data goes to zero so Intervals.icu thinks you weren’t moving and that messes up the power curve calculation. Unfortunately fitfiletools doesn’t remove this data when you choose speed. The field is enhanced_velocity so maybe thats why.

Does anyone know another tool for removing stuff from a fit file?

Golden Cheetah. But you may loose other enhanced fields like HRV.

I think I will add an option to delete a trace to Intervals.icu for deleting stuff from the fit file that is just junk for whatever reason.

I have changed the way power handled to not consider “not moving” power to be zero watts. I think it is more likely that people on trainers and so on will have “velocity” issues so better to not kill the power. I will deploy this Wed AM GMT+2.
