Noticed this in the past but decided to ask about this - sometimes activity power curve (best power / time) has an upward slope to the right, i.e. as time period increases, best power increases. Logically how can this be the case, e.g. if my best 3 minutes in a ride is 350w, surely my best 2 min, 1 min, etc must be at least 350w?
It is possible. Consider doing a 10s sprint, 10s easy and a 10s sprint. The 30s power with both sprints will be higher than the 20s power that only gets one of them.
