Planned workout compliance

Hi,

I’ve just started using intervals.icu, and I’ve one doubt regarding planned workout matching.

I had a planned workout of consisting in “5.5km Z1 HR” (116-145bpm). I did a workout with my average HR in the range (136bpm). Why is not being matched automatically and why the compliance is 161% after I’ve merged the planed workout with the activity manually?

I’m probably just doing something wrong, but I can’t see what

My guess is that it’s something related with the planned workout being HR based because when I’ve pace based workouts they match fine.

Thanks

Do you have Load set to HR priority? Or is load calculated based on Power/Pace?
Click on the pencil icon next to load to see what is used and how the others compare to the planned load.

Thank you to point me in the right direction, it looks like the default is pace, and in settings the priority is set as “Power, Pace, HR”.

I though that if the planned workout was HR based, it would automatically check the HR load instead of pace.

Does this means that in the same week, I can’t use HR and Pace based workouts? (I use HR for recovery runs but pace for others).

It’s OK if I can’t use both and I guess I can just plan with pace, just wanted to know.

You can specify multiple targets in a workout, but the target used will depend on the priority setting. Just as Load, the priority setting will always be used no matter what the target is. It is actually not advised to mix Load calculations unless you have your zones quit well matched. You may want to adjust either HR or Pace zones or both to have better matching results, especially for the lower zones. Lots of people use HR for the lower zones. Higher zones are better done based on Pace or Power.

Hello. I have a question. How do I get the data for each interval to appear? I created a job that I use in Wahoo and it works fine, but when I load the activity in Intervals, the data for each interval doesn’t appear. Thank you very much.

Got it, thank you for taking your time to explain it.

I am using the CTS Run to set my zones, I just had to tweak Z1 and I think I’m good to use only pace for planning (CTS Run have my Z2 way too broad)
