One hour power increased one watt each time i did this

For sure just an anecdote but I increased my FTP setting one watt each time my fitness chart went from transition to one week in the green zone. Each time i did that, my one hour hill climb power went up one watt.

Now if i think the number of times i could possibly do this in a year, its probably 10-15 times which might correlate to a possible increase in your one hour power watts.

just an observation. Not saying youll have these results. Just sharing what i saw.

recovery week? The optimized way to gain fitness is to push harder “for awhile” and then (important part) sending your body a signal to adapt. That adaption happens during a period of lower activity levels.
