OAuth app registration – EVOLUTIO (cycling analysis platform)

Hi David,

My name is Gustavo Chodraui, from Brazil. I’m building EVOLUTIO (https://evolutio.gustavochodraui.com), a cycling analysis platform that turns each athlete’s own ride history into training decisions. It works for individual cyclists and for coaches who follow their athletes.

Today athletes upload FIT/TCX/GPX files manually, one ride at a time. That is a real barrier to everyday use, and we are still waiting on Garmin’s API program. I’d like to offer Intervals.icu as the bridge: the athlete connects Garmin to Intervals.icu once, then authorizes EVOLUTIO.

Could you help me with:

1. Registering EVOLUTIO as an OAuth application, so athletes can authorize read access to their activities.
2. Confirming that we can download the original FIT file and receive new-activity notifications (webhooks).
3. Commercial use: EVOLUTIO will offer paid plans (individual athletes and coaching groups). Is that allowed under your terms, and are there any conditions or fees we should know about?

We would never resell or share athlete data, and every athlete would have to authorize the connection explicitly.

You better check this first because what you’re trying to do isn’t going to be possible anymore.

API requests from GitHub Actions return HTTP 403

Strava already changed T&C over a year ago, implicating that Strava data can’t be forwarded by any app API. Garmin has very recently changed T&C to something similar. You must now get the data straight from Garmin, Intervals is no longer authorized to forward over the API. See here latest news I think your issues are related to this.
