Not just moving average but moving total

In addition to the moving averages, would it be possible to get moving totals (for example a 7 day moving total that shows the total load of the past 7 days for each day) in the fitness graphs?

This is how Garmin does load on its bike computers. It shows the total load for the past 7 days, not the week (starting from Sunday or Monday).

I just added that as well as 42d and 60d versions.

Great! Thanks.

@david is there a fundamental difference in the way moving total and moving average are implemented on the fitness page?

When looking 1 month ahead, my moving total for weekly run distance is working, but my longer moving averages rescaled to weekly averages are broken. When looking in the past they look fine.

Feel free to check the “Run Mileage” chart on my fitness page, otherwise let me know if you need additional details!

Thanks,

Laurent

The distance plot isn’t currently available for future planned workouts. The moving average calculation respects that and stops at todays date. I have just updated the moving total calculation to do the same. It isn’t correct to show it plotted into the future because future distance isn’t supported (yet).

Thanks for the quick turnaround! I can confirm that the future moving total is now disabled… Now that makes me wonder : where is the future distance plot located in your backlog?

Thanks again for the great work!

Laurent

Tx. I just implemented support for distance from planned workouts on the calendar in the future. I didn’t realise it was mostly done already yesterday. You need to delete and re-add distance plots from your custom charts to get the update.

@david it worked, thanks a lot!!

FYI I first tried re-adding @Basmith 's Run Mileage plot but it must be implemented using the old version. So I rebuilt it from scratch instead.

Thanks again!

Laurent
