Have wellness metrics but no activities, eg, walking. Used to get Whoop activities via Strava but have cut Strava out and now integrate directly with Whoop.
Intervals.icu only gets wellness data from WHOOP. I wasn’t aware that WHOOP created any activities.
Are those actual activities or just whoop is classifying it as walking? There’s a distinct difference.
Garmin also does this with their MoveIQ or whatchamacalit. It just uses some Algonto detect that is the time you’re moving vs sitting. It’s not an actual activity but is a guess.
I don’t believe that these activities are being/will be forwarded by whoop (Garmin doesn’t)
Well they are all actual. I was walking running cycling swimming etc. Indeed Whoop auto detect “activity” but sometimes needs help with labeling. Not so different from when I press start on my Garmin head unit before cycling?
In Garmin ecosystem. It IS different.
MoveIQ activities are not activities in the same sense as when you deliberately press the start button.
So these are NOT getting a FIT file produced from them.
Whoop may be different? If you can find a FIT file on whoop website and you can download. Then yeah it’s a legit activity.
As I said in my OP. These activities were previously passed from Whoop to Strava and then to Intervals. Perhaps via some data shenanigans. It’s fine. I can live without them.
Hence the question was can u get the FIT file from Whoop direct?
If yes, then there is a possible way for David to look at it.
I had a look at the WHOOP Api and it does show those now. However there is only summary info, no fit file with all the details. If they add that at some point then I can support them in Intervals.icu.
Thanks for taking a look! For what it’s worth the following is a Whoop activity that Intervals does create when it goes through Strava but not if direct connect Whoop to Intervals.
Hey everyone, new user here.
Did anyone figure out how to have Whoop upload activities directly to Intervals? My Wellness data is coming though but the XC / Nordic ski session I just logged did not upload. I could try the Strava work around but I thought I read somewhere that stopping a Strava integration would remove the data from Intervals.icu which doesn’t sound very reliable.
Also, if the answer is I need to get a Coros or Garmin watch, then maybe I will.
I bulk uploaded my Strava .fit.gz files to Intervals after a Strava data request. It worked well. Would like to have Whoop upload .fit files to Intervals, but not sure they will do this. I can do this periodically. I think the best method going forward is to get a Coros or Garmin though and have it directly upload to Intervals.
If anyone has other suggestions or methods, or optimized work flows please let me know. Thanks.
At least properties like avg heart rate, etc. could be read out. Even if there are no further details, I would find it helpful to enable synchronisation of such activities for certain activities types like Strengh Trainer.
