No update after modify a Garmin acitivy

I have updated an activity in Garmin Connect. I have fogot to stop my watch, so few minutes needs to be removed to the activity. I didn’t see the update in intervals.icu.
When I update text, i see the update.

Is it an issue with Garmin or Intervals ?

There’s no issue with either of them. Garmin forwards only the ‘original’ FIT file to Intervals over the connection. Edits on Garmin Connect will not show in Intervals.

It’s still an issue (not in intervals.icu).

If in Garmin Connect we see the activity truncated. This view (or new fit file) has to be sync to Intervals.icu. So it’s a Garmin issue.

I think to have the good fit file and no impact on intervals.icu metrics and analysis :

  • export the orginal garmin .fit file
  • delete activity (Garmin says there is already the activity …)
  • truncate the fit file with tools
  • add new fit file as activity.

I’ll try at home.

Just crop in Intervals too.

For Garmin this is not an issue. It’s simply their terms of use. You get the original recorded file and that’s it. They don’t want you to take advantage of their editing features on other platforms. And they don’t care if that causes differences in analysis.
