New user - a few questions

I just discovered Intervals.icu last week. I’ve been a paying user of TrainingPeaks for a few years, but got tired of the bad data and other shortcomings, so I started looking for alternatives. So far, I’m very impressed with Intervals.icu. I’m blown away that this software seems to be built by one person (looks like it’s built with Google Data Studio?).

I’m still learning the software, so my questions at this point are kind of mundane:

  1. Can my rides have a different title on Intervals.icu than on Strava? I prefer more of a social title on Strava, and more technical notes to myself on Intervals.icu. If not a different title, perhaps there’s a workaround, like a private comments field that could be displayed on the calendar?
  2. In calendar view, is there any way to customize how how the rides are displayed? For example, I would rather see the ride title be the most prominent line, not the the duration. I would also like to see IF and KJs for each ride.

Thanks!

You can edit the title (look for the pencil icon right of it) - if I remember correctly, this doesn’t sync back to Strava (nothing does, afaik).

As to the view, currently that option is not available, but @David could probably change that easily.

And you’re right: intervals.icu is impressive in many ways. I’ve cancelled TP (both of them) and Xert.

Tx for having a look!

@Cyclopaat Editing the title and any of the other fields in that dialog do save back to Strava. Unfortunately Strava doesn’t notify Intervals.icu when these fields change (other than title) so they might be out of sync for a while if you also edit them on Strava e.g. after finishing a ride.

The title is kept in sync with Strava as is the description. However you (and others who follow you on Intervals.icu) can add notes that are only visible on Intervals.icu:

If that panel isn’t visible click the chat icon:

Currently you can’t customise how rides are displayed on the calendar but I have just added that to the todo list.

The Intervals.icu client is built using Vue.js with Vuetify components which follow Google’s Material Design guidelines. The charts are done with d3.js.

One big thing missing from Intervals.icu is training plans but I am busy with that and should get the first version out this weekend.

Sorry. Best option then is the comments/notes box as you mentioned, which I didn’t suggest as per my wrong understanding of the title edit sync.

Thanks, I appreciate the help from both you, @Cyclopaat and @david.
