Any change on the strap or sensor set up could affect the ability of the sensor firmware to evaluate the RR intervals. This doesn’t need any different approach at alphaHRV side because it uses the RR intervals that the sensor provides, not the raw data.
In case that artifacts increase (or decrease) it is directly related to quality of the values provide by the sensor
