I have been using a whoop v4 strap for almost 3 years now . whilst it’s great i have a few small issues with it, battery and accuracy as i wear it on my wrist. I wanted something that does the same thing but doubles as a watch - my Fenix 6 died last monday so I’ve a cheap smart watch (UNA) that arrived - it’s not so feature rich curently .
I was thinking of the Amazfit Active Max - has anyone got experince of these watches and im done with subscribing to it.. i’d ideally like the same functionality as the Whoop (I’ve seen the Zepp app )
Any thoughts or feedback is appreciated - even equivalents.
Check Amazfit Balance, i think there is second version of it.
i’ve been using amazfit watches for years - BIP / Stratos / Balance and I really like it. I use it for running and swimming, for cycling I use bike computer + hr strap.
Whoop and Amazfit balance 2 hrv/rhr activity settings are fairly similar. I discovered after a few days that to increase the accuracy of HRV/RHR you need to edit the hr sampling time in the zepp app to 1 minute.
overall im very happy with the watch - functionally its good and the screen is brilliant. Interchangable watch faces, as per garmin etc. still getting to grips with some of the other great functionality. Cancelling my whoop subscription
