Missing activities from Garmin Connect

Sometimes when I do a double day both activities will show on Intervals.icu but sometimes this does not happen. Last week I had two double days and I only see one in Intervals.icu.

Might I be doing something wrong? Is there a method to reload the activities from Garmin Connect?

Thanks

Intervals.icu should get everything from Garmin Connect so long as they are recorded on a Garmin device. So activities from Zwift and other 3rd parties don’t come through. What kind of activities are your “double day” ones? Can you point me at a specific date? Tx.

Garmin activities related to walking for me are not showing up for weeks 8, 9 and 10 in the calendar ‘day squares’ but the time that I spent walking is showing in the left hand weeks totals if that helps? They were recorded on a Garmin watch and exist in both Garmin Connect and Strava. Walking activities for weeks less than 8 are still showing in the calendar ’ day squares’

Okay, thanks @david. The issue is they are Zwift rides.

Those are commutes. You need to tick the box in options. I really need to add a “8 commutes not shown” banner or something.

Hi David. The walks that are showing in weeks 1-7 are also commutes… Is it meant to behave differently across different weeks?

Those are not flagged as commutes. You can check the flag by clicking the activity icon on the summary page. The commute flag comes from Strava unless you set it in Intervals.icu. I have made various changes to how Strava activities are “merged” with activities from Garmin et al. so possibly something changed there.

I saw something similar with a long run and a “crossfit” workout. They initially were showing as intended and then got tagged as commute (I’m fairly confident I didn’t tag them accidently). I was concerned because I could see the load/time impacts on the weekly total but not the actual activity until I toggled the “show commute” button.

Sorry David - I don’t think I’m explaining myself very well here.

All walks this year exist in both Garmin Connect and Strava.
All walks this year are tagged with ‘Commute’ in Strava.
Weeks 1 -7, the ‘commutes’ show up in the calendar, despite not having the ‘commute tick box’ ticked in the Options as per your screenshot (as I understand *IS NOT *correct functionality).
Weeks 8, 9 and 10 the commutes don’t show up in the calendar boxes - just in the totals form on the left (as I understand is correct functionality).

In summary - if Intervals calendar is not meant to display any commutes unless that is ticked, then this functionality is not working for weeks 1 - 7 for me. They should not be displayed (according to the tick box).

If you want to flag the activity as commute in Intervals, click on the name and check the flag.

If you want to check if it is flagged as commute, goto list view and display the column Commute

If you want commutes to display in the calendar page go here:

If the Commute flag is set on Strava, it should come through in Intervals

Hi @MedTechCD . Using list view I can once again confirm that there does appear to be a bug here. All my walks that were tagged as ‘Commutes’ from weeks 1 to 7 of this year in Strava are not tagged as ‘commutes’ in Intervals. Intervals has only started respecting the ‘commute’ Strava tag from week 8 onwards.

Perhaps this bug was fixed in week 8? Perhaps accidently as I didn’t see anything in the forum about it. But it seems there was a bug there before week 8 of this year. Perhaps it is still there given that no one has mentioned it or appears to be aware of it?

Summary of what I think was/is the bug: Up until week 8 of this year Intervals was not respecting the ‘Commute’ Strava tag on walks.

It is certainly possible that you are correct. I have made several changes to the sync code this year. If you add the “Commute” column to the activity list view you can quickly mark them as commutes.
