There is much more data present on Ride best efforts than Virtual Ride best efforts. Virtual Ride only has the power graph and the power numbers to the right of it. That’s it. Under the best effort wattage numbers there isn’t vo2 max, no tmap. I know it has to be available in settings but it’s not very intuitive after the change.
So even though they show up on Rides (outdoor) it seems i have not done enough Virtual Rides (indoor) to generate those? I have a dozen Zwift rides so far. I would imagine that the data from Zwift would be good enough?
There’s not enough data for the model to find a value for MAP that is reliable. Can be to little data, to little efforts…
Why do you want to separate indoor/outdoor for this kind of metric? If you have enough recent data in general to deduct a MAP and Tmap value, isn’t that enough?
I like to look at outdoor vs. indoor metrics differently. I like to see how they differ. If i need to I can look at both Ride and Virtual Ride. The Ride should still add the Virtual Ride to them as well (i have that selected there). It would just be nice to completely seperate the two. Same power pedals but different bikes, different environments, ets.
