In order for the automatic pairing to work, the load of the workout to be within 50% of the planned activity. If it isn’t, you need to drag and drop as MedTech says.
I would suggest to check your threshold pace for future workouts. The mini chart doesn’t look like an easy run. But if it was one, then you threshold pace is too high (slow).
I think that’s a problem with my running - I have issues going easy/slow. Various reasons but if I don’t feel like I’m struggling I speed up. So every run ends up being a tempo/hard run.
Even when I do a half marathon I start fast and the only thing that slows me down is my legs dying near the end.
It’s ridiculous. I go out telling myself - “go slow!”. But nope - my Garmin cries I’m going too fast.
On one hand I’m proud and amazed my battered, middle-aged body is capable of of doing it. OTOH it’s a little worrying cos I’m probs gonna end up having a heart attack at the top of a hill one day!
