Manually correcting power spikes

I had a ride last year that I am fairly confident gave an erroneous spike in my power. It’s throwing off my power curves. Is there a way to either 1) identify where this spike occurred and correct just that portion of this ride or 2) remove the ride from my power curves altogether?

If you have admin access, it’s this ride and it says I had 1,250 watts for 1s, which I don’t think is true.

Go to the activity, and click on Actions, Settings, Ignore Power. This will ignore power for the whole activity.

Another way, is Actions, Edit data, scroll down to the time (in seconds) and edit the value to a realistic value. This keeps power for the rest of the ride.

Power spike % is another option, in the Settings page. Change it to a lower value, then go back to the activity and Actions, Re-Analyze.

That was helpful advice. My problem was that the default was 30% and actual power from known efforts were all cropped. I had to change the setting to 200% to capture all of the accurate data… without you I’d never have figured it out. Thanks!

HI, I have the same problem and would like to edit the curve, but I do not see (on a PC) the options you mention (action, edit data etc.).
Can you explain?
Thanks.

Open your activity
Scroll down to the bottom menu
Actions, then you will see this list.
Ignore Part is where you can remove a section of the activity, eg. your forget to turn off your recording at the end of the ride.
Settings ignore… allows you to ignore the whole activity.

Thanks a lit, my problem was more locating the “action” item (i.e. the whole menu).
