Hi,
I’m Gaëtan. I ride indoors most of the winter, usually with a series on, and I wanted my structured workouts in ERG without an app taking the whole screen. So I made a small Mac app, SweetWatt.
It controls the trainer in ERG (Bluetooth FTMS) and puts the numbers in a little black island around the MacBook notch, where the screen is black anyway when a video is full screen. You see the target power, the time left in the step and the workout profile, and it warns you 10 seconds before the next step. A bit like TrainerRoad’s minimal mode, but without a window over the video.
For intervals.icu, you paste your API key in the settings and after a ride there’s a button to send it. It doesn’t read your calendar yet, so workouts come from the 14 in the app or from .zwo files. Each ride is also saved as a FIT file.
It’s still a beta and I’ve only ridden it on my Van Rysel D500, so I’d really like people with other trainers to try it (Wahoo, Tacx, Elite, Zwift Hub or anything else). If you test it and send me your feedback and the Bluetooth log from the app, the licence is free. Otherwise it’s 5 free workouts, then €20 once, and that licence covers all of version 1, the 1.0 included. No account and no subscription.
Apple hasn’t checked the app yet, so the first time you open it macOS blocks it and you have to allow it once in System Settings (the download page explains how).
