Hi all,
I’m building tandem, a free Chrome extension that compares prices for cycling parts, clothing and accessories across European bike shops, and I’m looking for people to try the private beta.
How it works
- You browse a product on a supported shop, or search from the tandem page. tandem looks for the same product in the other shops and shows what they charge, with shipping already counted in, so you compare real totals.
- Matching is identifier first (barcode and part number), with title matching only as a fallback, so you are not shown “similar” items by mistake.
- You can watch a product and get an alert when a price drops. Alerts check every six hours, on up to ten products.
Privacy
- No account, no server of mine in the middle. Every request goes from your browser straight to the shops, like visiting their pages yourself. I don’t collect your browsing or your searches.
Shops today
Bike24, bike-components, Bike-Discount, Probikeshop, Gambacicli, Mantel, Ridewill, All4cycling, Bikeinn.
What I’m asking from testers
- Use it when you would normally shop for a part, and tell me when it misses a product, matches the wrong one, or shows a wrong price.
- A short reply to a feedback email now and then. Nothing more.
It’s a private beta: sign up with the short form below and I’ll email you the invite link. The form takes about a minute.
Happy to answer any question here. I’m the developer, so feedback goes straight to me.
