We have added an option to lock the power intervals created on new activities. If you tick this then power based intervals on new activities start off locked to prevent accidental edits.
Nice! That would go well along a small lock button (perhaps just to the right of the intervals area) to quickly lock or unlock intervals without having to scroll all the way down to the Actions menu:
