Load without PM or HR

Hello David. In the past I was training myself without power meter or heart rate monitor. So I don’t have any feedback from the past years on Intervals.icu, but there are years of activities already saved on Strava.

It could be good to have a background (even if it’s not really precise on the datas) on the training load of those years. Just to have an average idea…

It could be amazing to have the possibility to select a period of time in the calendar and automatically calculate the load for each ride which is without power meter and without heart rate monitor. Using the number of kilometers, the average speed, and other factors.

That isnt possible. avg speed depends on terrain, wind etc. To much factors to make it inaccurate.

As @PattyP says a model for this would likely be fairly inaccurate. That said I have manually estimated load for rides without power or HR in the past just by looking for similar rides (with power). You could do that. Bit tedious if you have a lot of data and not very accurate.

Anyway I have added this to the todo list.

I tried to add TSS to a manual activity (yoga) which isn’t put until my fitness chart but when I manually add TSS for a different activity (snowboarding) it is incorporated. Am I doing something wrong or is this by design?

Some activities (like Yoga) don’t contributed to fitness or fatigue. You can control this behaviour in /settings:

How would I estimate load for a 90min weight training session that I’m entering manually?

From what I understand that wouldn’t contribute much to fitness (because its not cardio) but will create fatigue. Unfortunately I can’t help estimate either of those. No experience with weight training and how much it dings your legs.
