I’m a bit of a numbers nerd and naturally a big intervals.icu fan for years now. And since I’m also a software developer, my latest little project got a bit out of hand.
I a wondering why there isn’t something like a live AI cycling coach yet. At least I haven’t found one. And I’d really love to have one.
I even caught myself chatting with ChatGPT between intervals on my indoor trainer about how the workout was going, comparing my heart rate with previous sessions and so on. I actually built an intervals.icu MCP for that, but at some point that wasn’t enough anymore ![]()
Anyway, I started building one myself and the Android version is already pretty far along.
The idea is to have a coach you can actually talk to while riding, who knows your current training data and what’s going on. I’m also working on intervals.icu integration, so the coach can use your training history and not just the data from the current ride.
I’ve explained the idea a bit more here:
It would be really cool to find a few people here who are interested in something like this and would like to help test it. If you leave your email on the page, I’ll send out beta invites soon. If you leave your email on the page, I’ll send out beta invites soon. But of course, you can also just reply here if you’re interested.
II’d also love to hear any feedback. What features would you find useful? And what would a live coach absolutely need to have for you to actually use it?
Edit: Just realized this might belong in External Tools instead. Should I move it there?
