If I start to use Garmin to link to rides, what happens to all the historical Strava rides. Do they disappear and are replaced by my Garmin history? I ask because my Garmin history is a complete mess with missing and/or duplicate rides. Also I take it I would have to simultaneously sever the link to Strava. Thanks
They will replace the Strava rides. You should probably leave your history alone and just enable Garmin download for new activities. This is the default when you first turn it on. You can use both for a while (the Strava dups will be deleted) and then turn off Strava (just untick the download activities box, don’t revoke access) if it is working out for you.
