Yes definitely recognize that, we’re currently working on a big release that adresses this. That being said, I’d like to encourage you to make a training plan. It is much better at generating a logical flow vs when you manually add individual workouts. When you have created your training plan you can always safely delete all lecoach created workouts if needed.
Thanks for trying the service, there’s lots of good stuff coming your way!
We normally ship fast but the next release is a huge one that we want to bundle together.
Hello Rutger, i have question, or more like a problem, in my intervals icu i have already completed the workout but in lecoach it doesnt change the workout status, i dont know if is because i use a Xoss nav, or what but, you know if maybe a do something wrong, thank you for your attention
Hi, if you DM me the email address you used to sign up for the service i can investigate further. Also please share the workout name, workout date, activity name and activity date please. Thanks!
We’ve been working hard on the next release of LeCoach. Since it’s so fundamental it’s taking a bit longer than expected. Will be going to quick weekly releases after this big one!
We would love to get feedback from the Intervals community on how to best build training plan adaptations, see below. It does not matter whether you’re a LeCoach user already or not!
The next release will include for sure (this is all ready):
even smarter and more structured training plan generation with blueprint, training blocks, strength or high cadence workouts, key workouts etc
week overview with planned vs actual time in zones, tracking of key workout completion, adherence to plan and what kind of block this week belongs to (base, build, deload etc)
actions via LeCoach chat like move, delete, create or change a workout
(missed) activity reports by LeCoach based on workout execution score with automatic training plan adjustment proposals
setting availability per day or day of the week in a period/range and automatic workout adjustments based on this.
INPUT NEEDED, TRAINING PLAN ADJUSTMENTS.
What we’re still working on in training plan adjustments once the training plan is active. What do you find most important?
being able to change the entire plan going forward? For example shifting focus from ftp to sprints or making it harder / easier, changing mix of endurance vs intensity workouts?
being able to add a subgoal or event. for example focusing the next 2 weeks on 3-m power and doing a short taper before sunday feb 1?
doing automatic adjustments to the plan to ensure training load stays in the green/improving zone?
detecting whether if the current week matches the block phase we’re in and if not, shuffling the schedule. for example if this week was supposed to be a deload week but you’re overruling it with some hard efforts change this into a build week and make next week deload?
what else?
What do you find most important from the list above and what is in your opinion missing?
ps. Thanks to everyone on the waitlist patiently waiting, now over 200 people, add yourself to the list here!
Also thanks to all users actively using the service and providing feedback here and on our product feedback board.
Many thanks for the great work already @Rutger! Happily using the prescribed workouts, although I also notice myself checking what Join is prescribing (I still have an active subscription there).
From your list I’d say: " * doing automatic adjustments to the plan to ensure training load stays in the green/improving zone?" Is for me the most important one. This is also where the AI can harvest all the useful information from your past activities. ‘Oh, you easily finished a workout with 5min blocks at 110%, let’s progress your next one to 6minutes at 110%’ Or something alike.
One thing I’m noticing with the workouts though is the almost standard tendency to end with 10min at 65% followed by 5min at 60 or 55%. I’d rather have those 10 min before the blocks so you already build in some fatigue, or actually add in an extra block. Then just end with 5min cooldown. But I’m not an exercise physiologist… I just notice that my feeling says: ‘could as well have done an extra block’
Very much looking forward for the new release and the opening of the waiting list
In the last couple months I played around myself with MCPs and some of the latest LLMs, too. Mainly to have “someone” helping me building a long-term training plan for my individual needs. Once you start going into details it becomes very complex very fast, especially if you want to take into account whatever data intervals.icu provides and make it flexible. So i ended up with a half-finished “Cursor-Agent”, i would describe it as a local not-so-fency-version of LeCoach. So I’d be happy to give LeCoach a try as soon as possible
And even without being an active user right now, I would like to respond and give some feedback to your questions.
Continues monitoring of actual effort/load and automatic adapting would be really nice, always with regard to the overall goal of the current training plan. Maybe even taking into account RPE and “Feel” would make a lot of sense, if a workout would have been experienced as way harder than the LeCoach would have it expected to be.
This is probably a consequece of the previous point, so
Hi, the best way to deal with this is to just skip todays and tomorrows workout and make your first few workouts after your recovery a bit easier depending on how you feel. I would not recommend moving the entire plan.
Hi Rutger, my heart rate zones in LeCoach differ significantly from the zones I use for intervals. It seems I have no way to adjust the zones in LeCoach. What do I need to do?
Hi, in Settings - Heart Rate Settings and then HR zones if you click on the dials you can switch the source from default based on Threshold HR or use your Intervals.icu zones as the source. If your select Intervals it should take the exact same HR zones as you have in Intervals.
Great project! Thank you for making this completely free, at least for now.
As a way to give back, here’s some feedback. When creating an event-based training plan, the selected start date does not seem to be respected. The system appears to calculate the training weeks based on today’s date instead, which causes the training plan to be misaligned.
Check if you actually are setting start from Monday. Calendar there starts with Sunday, so selecting first date on the row will start the plan for this week, instead the week you intented to select. Ask me how I know..
Hi John, thanks for sharing this, you’ve discovered a bug that so far got unnoticed! As you discovered the autocalculated training plan duration calculates from today to the event date but it should calculate from training plan start date to event date. Then when you make the plan it actually does make it from the start date + the training plan duration. I’ll fix this first thing in the morning and include it in our massive release that’s almost ready to go live, hopefully tomorrow.
Alrighty, the massive release is finally done! Took a bit more time than expected cause everything was so intertwined but it’s a big leap forward.
In this release we added week overview, automatic training plan adjustment proposals, activity reports, plan adjustments. We have also improved our training plan creation process with blueprint to full plan creation and deeper logic regarding periodization, progress, weekly pattern etc.
And much much more! So go check it on out LeCoach.app
ps. will also start inviting people on the waitlist again!
