Lactate data w/i workouts

Is there/could there be a simple way to add lactate data within a workout?

Following the Norwegian’s example, I’ve started tracking lactate within rides and runs and basing/adjusting intensity on that data. I’d like very much to: a) have the ability to add and see lactate within workouts; b) compare lactate, HR, power, RR between workouts (without requiring two browser tabs).

interesting I sometimes tracks lactate too

but I only see a manual input as a solution here (in the comments for example), or do you think of something specific ?

I’d like to manually add each data point (time & lactate reading) to the workout after the fact.

Live readings & capture will be tech in the future. Apple purchased a company that was developing some sort of IR for reading lactate levels (much the same as spO2). The speculation is that a future AppleWatch will be able to capture lactate levels.

Hi All, are here any updates on this topic?
I‘m tracking my lactate since few weeks in defined Zone2 or Sub Threshold Sessions. I add this values in a custom field for each Intervall.

Is it possible to analyze this lactate relevant intervals over weeks ?

You need to add some activity custom fields for that. These could use the information from the interval custom fields using Javascript. Activity custom fields can be plotted on the /fitness page.

To anyone who creates a custom field as described in David’s post above, please share the field for those of us who know what code looks like but can actually write those strange ch🈷️ra🈯️ters.
