Hello, I am currently testing IntervalCoach and it is asking me to enter my goals in interval icu. When I want to enter a race, it offers me A, B, or C. What is the difference between these three?
Regards.
Hello, I am currently testing IntervalCoach and it is asking me to enter my goals in interval icu. When I want to enter a race, it offers me A, B, or C. What is the difference between these three?

Hi,
A, B and C simply define race priority:
A race: Your main goal event. Full taper, peak performance.
B race: Important build-up race. Light taper, strong effort.
C race: Training race. No taper, treated like a hard workout.
That’s it.
A race
These are your main races for the season. You should have no more than a few in a season. Any software will generate a plan to peak and taper before this race. For a randonneur like yourself, that could be a 1000k or 1200k.
B races
These are minor races. You can have more of them, and the software may schedule a taper for a B race. If it does, it will be less dramatic than a taper for an A race. Typically it will not work towards a peak for a B race. This could be a 400k or 600k.
C races
These are races for which you signed up and their primary goal is to work towards an A race. This could be a 100k, 200k, or 300k. Software should never schedule peak and taper around this.
Thank you both very much, your explanations are very clear.
