I imagine it’s pretty niche so consider it of low-level importance for backlog (unless somehow this wakes up the jump roping army ), but it would be nice to have jumping rope as an activity, just so categorization/filtering can work natively.
For reference Garmin has an official IQ app for Jump Rope that generates a FIT activity, “training > cardio training > Jump Rope” (sport profile name “Jump Rope”) with metrics like rounds, reps, jumps/min. But only jumps/min has a timeseries, the rest seem to be one value per session. So there’s no need for deep integration, just being able to select and filter based on “Jump Rope” would be great.
I would second that suggestion, I use the Crossrope App with the AMP handles and synch my data with Healthfit (on iOS). Would be awesome to be able to categorize the workout as Jump Rope and not Other
I’ll add to this. I’m using Jump Rope for Rope Flow which is broadly similar and generates a surprising amount of load on the body (well above walking). Plus it’s fun?

Using YaoYao app on IPhone. It uses sensors in AirPods to calculate the jumps. Quite accurate. Would be great if we can assign JumpRope activities here.
