JOIN integration would be great!

It would be great to have an integration with JOIN for planned workouts, which are then sent to Garmin Connect via Intervals.

A feature request (Feature Requests - JOIN - integration-with-intervalsicu ) has been marked “completed”. (not)
It is up to JOIN.cc to implement integration.

You can send directly from JOIN to Garmin

Yes, and it would be nice if Intervals knows in advance which JOIN workouts are planned in let’s say the coming week, so your charts etc. will be updated accordingly.

Yes, I agree with that this would be nice.

Reply from JOIN:

“We have reopened the request on our feature request platform. Given the strong support for this integration from our user base and our belief that Intervals.icu is a powerful platform for those who want to dive deeper into training data, we’ve reached out to David from Intervals.icu to discuss API integration. We are currently exploring the best way to implement a JOIN-Intervals.icu integration.”

As I am also waiting for this to be implemented by JOIN and was playing around with the Intervals API, I created this Siri Shortcut (Shortcuts) that can be used on iPhones or MacBooks.

You only have to set your Intervals Athlete ID and API_KEY (both found in Settings under Developer Settings).

Now you can download/export the ZWO (for rides) or FIT (for runs) files from the JOIN app (you will receive an e-mail). Now, go to the downloaded file and use the share sheet so you can automatically upload the workout to the date of your choosing (the shortcut asks for date and time).

Been using this, but recently I’m getting the error “unrecognized file format”. Looks like it somehow broken. Is this still working for you?

Any news / progress made on this integration?

On the Join roadmap board, it’s In Progress over a year LOL.

I’ve just emailed them

support@join.cc

The blocker is almost certainly on their end and the lack of updates is pathetic.

I suggest you drop them an email too.

Personally, it’s a reason to skip join as a training platform. I’ve using Wahoo System in the past, and it was a hassle to get the data into intervals.icu. Using scripts, dropbox, etc. Don’t want to do that anymore. :grimacing:

Since the launch of their website this morning they have a few more apis to make this easier. It’s not public so need to use cookies but I have a python script working that writes future updates o intervals, message if you want it
