Hello,
I am getting just know intervals.icu and I am already amazed with number of setting and functions it has. What surprised me, that I could not find how search intervals by name. I might be doing something wrong, because it seem quite basic function. It doesnt recognize garmin laps as intervals and I can see that it filters only by month, that I cannot choose whole year - e.g. intervals from 2022. Perhaps doing something wrong?
Intervals.icu by default uses its own algorithm to detect intervals but that can sometimes be a little overwhelming. If you prefer to use the intervals that were created on your device, you have to go to settings - cycling and under Power settings tick the box “Use laps for intervals”.
Then re-analyse your activity by clicking on Actions in the lower right and Analyse.
But I don’t think that it will recognize the name of an interval.
On the Intervals page, click on Today (or anything else) then on the period you want to go backwards from that point, to declare a time period. Then enter one of the search criteria, for example 4m and the graph will show all 4min (+/-10%) detected in that time period. You can enter Power or cadence too but be aware that it is a AND function, so you probably want to start out by leaving the other two blank.
I am planning to replace the current interval search page with a general “search for activities and compare” page at some point.
Thank you, following you steps, it displays laps intervals now
Regarding intervals, I had different expectation: I thought, that after entering value in a filter, LIST of intervals will be populated (with option to open them in a new tab). I renamed some intervals (in this website, not a garmin) a thought, that I will able be search by name and compare same section from a few rides - something like segments. I usued Cyclinganalytis, when I could manually create a lap/interval (like here), name it and it became kind of segment, which name I could use in a future for filtering and comparing same section.
Tx for all the input. Hopefully I can get to sorting all that out soon. First I need to do some pace analytics for runners though.
I followed the instructions above and using laps and re-analyzing the data. It appears that my workouts have interval data, but the Intervals tab still appears blank (although it does look like at the bottom there are workouts being recognized). Below is a workout from November. Maybe I’m missing something else?
Hi, just bumping this. My intervals tab is still showing up blank, but as noted in the picture above, it does look like the data is being identified.
Any suggestions? Appreciate your help!
Your search criteria are:
- 8m +/- 10% or 7m12 to 8m48s
- 315W +/- 10% or 283W to 346W
I can’t see any interval in that workout that meets both of these criteria…
Ah, I see now. I didn’t realize I could update those fields. My mistake. Thank you for your help!
