Well done! I hope Rouvy integration as well, then I can say goodbye to Strava.
I’m not on Zwift, but for those who are, or if I were, this would be awesome!
Great work.
Awesome achievement, congrats David
@david great stuff, one thing I notice is that there is a potential problem with the % Pace for running workouts “compatibility” between intervals.icu and zwift.
In short, when I create a workout in intervals.icu % of Pace = % of Threshold pace and it syncs with Zwift as % of Mile Pace which is not the same leading to a mismatch in pace between the 2 platforms. Would it be possible to adjust it, I suppose %threshold should be more like a 10k pace equivalent in zwift.
Thx
Seb
Tx. When Intervals.icu generates zwo files it specifies pace=“2” which is 10k pace. Unfortunately the Zwift API doesn’t accept that yet. I will ask them to add it.
So excited about this integration!! Thank you!
@david I am finding that Zwift is converting my Intervals pace percentage (based on 10K) into 1 mile pace within Zwift. So to replicate an Intervals workout (parsed in 10k pace) I would need to run it at 86% intensity within Zwift to get the same paces in each. This will differ between users based on what their respective 1 mile to 10k pace percentages is. And then when my respective PBs change I can recalculate the new percentage.
To find that percentage out you can use this calculator & input 10k pace & 1 mile pace to get the respective percentage for the Zwift intensity setting.
Or if trying the Zwift LA Marathon Plan then it also uses the HM & 5k paces as it switches between all four annoyingly in Phase 1 workouts, though only uses 10K pace in Phase 2 fortunately.
Hopefully Zwift will allow import of 10K paces soon to avoid the faff.
I could convert the threshold pace percentages into mile pace until Zwift supports the pace attribute via the API? I have a factor of 1.127819549 for the 10k to mile conversion.
@david That would be easier but would the conversion be the same for everybody? Sprinters/Track runners (if they run on Zwift) would presumably differ in their 1mile to threshold/10K relative pace conversions to endurance athletes? Although my pace duration curve is fairly flat when compared to my ride one having said that. We perhaps ideally need a range of runners to give their views (& what their personal conversion equivalents would be for 1 mile to threshold/10K pace) to get a best one size conversion for all? Could you put out a global request perhaps via an Announcement that most/all “Zwift via Intervals” runners will see & hopefully contribute to. This thread will likely be quickly lost & so not garner many replies.
Great one @david
Here’s a small cosmetic bug. When I click Upload planned workouts
in Zwift section on Intervals.icu settings page page placeholder text has missing part.
Looks like {n}
should be replaced with Zwift
Tx. Fixed.
is it possible to implement the same Filter also for the activities to download?
so:
- it’s consistent between upload/download
- I can setup to download (for example) activities from Zwift it the activity name contains “Zwift” or from Wahoo if the name contains “SYSTM” or whatever
tnx!
is/will it be possible to enroll a zwift workout plan that uploads/syncs to intervals? (you know, the opposite way of how it works now) Or have I missed something and does it do that already?
For anyone asking why I want to do this, I don’t have a treadmill but I do like the structure of the workouts (and the Workout Plan’s in general) so I’d like to take 'em outside…
No you can’t do that. Intervals.icu can only see workouts created by Intervals.icu. You can do it manually: Download the workout ZWO file, create a workout on your Intervals.icu calendar and import it.
I have been using the zwift integration initially with no problems but today the intervals folder has dissapeared on the zwift client.
edit: I disconnected then reconnected my zwift account and now it works.
Hello @david. I noticed that workouts are not refreshing on the Apple TV app. Everything works fine on Zwift on my Mac. I guess this is a problem with the TV app, but I just wanted to let you know. Thank you.
That strange. I can see your Zwift stuff uploaded 2 hours ago and you should have at least 7 workouts. There weren’t any errors.
Yes, that happened after I deleted and reinstalled the app. Anyway, the message in intervals.icu is always correct and the upload/sync does happen on my Zwift app on my mac. But on the Apple TV the workout of the day and the collection in the intervals.icu folder gets stuck. Next time it happens I will try to shoot some pictures to document it better. Thank you.
I use only Apple TV for zwifting, and finally, I have the opportunity to do my own workouts
Thank you very much for this feature!
Great job!!!
How do you connect to the correct Zwift account?
I have to riders on Zwift and if I want to connect bought of them they link to the same Zwift account.
